She’s begun the 7 week series of chemo and radiation treatments that we hope will obliterate the tumor, or at least reduce it enough in size where surgery is a viable option.
Only time will tell.
My mom was a lapsed Catholic. She recently, (as my sister and I have always expected in her later years), reconciled with the church.
I’m so pleased that she was received with open arms, by a wonderful pastor who apologized for the way the church of the nineteen-sixties had failed her.
They are not failing her now in her time of spiritual need. I’m thankful for that.
I wanted to create a series of prayer cards that could somehow honor my Goddess as well as my mother’s love of Mary.
So I created this series of seven cards that I call “our Lady Mary” series. The card above is the first in the series.
Our Lady Mary is not a divine figure, but rather a bodhisattva. She is a bridge between the many feminine archetypes we recognize in the corporeal realm, but one that leads us to our higher self -in the realm of the divine.
Our Lady Mary series is a set of devotional cards for prayer or meditation melding the seven chakras of the physical body with seven holy feminine archetypes that are timeless, universal and reflected in many cultures.
Each archetype has her own unique attributes that invite us to pray or meditate on all aspects of our mortal and imperfect selves as we journey Mary’s bridge.
Through Her we see the path to refine our physical, emotional and spiritual selves…
and find ourselves one with God.
