As the year draws to an end, so ends this fifth week of my mother’s treatment for lung cancer.
I realized in my previous post that the arguement my father and I got into on Christmas day, (surely stress/worry/fatigue driven), actually fell on the cusp of this and last week’s prayer card.
Smack dab in the middle of The Lover’s message of forgiveness, and The Messenger’s as a symbol of communication and compassion in action, I failed miserably!
But I least I am trying to be aware. That’s why they’re called prayer cards after all!
This was one of my favorite cards to make. I particularly love this image. It’s Quan Yin, but she’s in the posture of Lord Shiva, who dances creation.
So it’s truly an image of compassionate action.
It’s a nice image, I think, for contemplating the new year.
