Lumen Obscura Returns to Santa Cruz in April with workshops and vending and a whole weekend of dark and theatrical fusion style belly dance delights!
I’m excited to be one of the performers for the Friday night show, April 6th 2012 at Michael’s On Main in Soquel.
The Friday night show is free, but reservations are recommended as seating is limited. Call 831-479-9777. (Michael’s has great food, by the way).
Saturday’s show is the big one at The Rio Theater. Advance tickets are $20 and it’ll be $25 at the door.
I’m taking two Saturday afternoon workshops with fabulous teachers that I’ve never seen live; Bex and Unsinkable Molly. Some of the workshops might already be sold out, but don’t miss the chance to buy pretty bling from some great vendors.
I’ve happily traveled to Sebatapol and San Louis Obispo for other tribal and fusion belly dance events, so it’s a real treat that all this loveliness will be right here in Santa Cruz!
Especially nice is that this event is darker, more theatrical and Gothic in nature. I’m really excited to see what everybody else does.
(I better get on it as far as figuring out what I’m going to wear and what on Earth I’m going to dance to…)
