Digital Collage Is Not Dancing!

No, it’s not dancing. But it is seriously fun.

I haven’t been dancing and I haven’t been writing either. I didn’t even make it to Tribal Fest this year. (In my own defense I seriously did have a bad pulled muscle and the long drive would have not been good for my back and neck pain).

So, I’ve been sitting at my desk and fooling around with my new camera images and Craftartist Platinum. (I know, I know! Sitting at a desk too long isn’t good for my back either!)

I’ve fooled around with Paint.net which is cool, but Craftartist Patinum is seriously easy and fun to play with. It’s geared toward scrapbooking and making your own greeting cards and whatnot, but it’s but very, very applicable to digital collage.

If you’ve ever been into regular collage and you have any kind of interest in showcasing your photos or have ever made a homemade greeting card, you’re going to want to check this out.

The pre-made templates, with lots of color coordinated bling, are part of a ridiculously easy drag and drop interface that makes this software idiot proof enough for a technophobe like me but powerful enough customizing stuff too.

Seriously. It was on sale at Office Max for like thirty bucks. Crazy cheap for how much fun it is. You can also download a freebie version, just Google the name.

I fooled around with that at first and from the get-go found it so intuitive and easy, I knew I’d buy the full version and want to build up my own digital images into my own “digikits”.

This won’t be the last time you hear me talking about digikits, digital collage or Craftartist Platinum.
