The direction of West corresponds to the setting sun and to the realm of the great abyss, the ocean.
It is the place of deepest, darkest parts unknown. It can be a scary and an exciting place to journey. The ocean’s depths are a metaphor for our own unconscious and the journeying that we do as we take this step on our Spiral Path is a journey within.
From our innermost guides we can come up with a plan that lets us chart the course we want to take in life. I think the default is living on auto-pilot. This is the exact opposite of that. This is about being very conscientious about doing the things we need to get clear on our own unique undertaking. Your life is a unique journey, planning is like creating a map to get you where you want to go!
I have long had my own Life Map, really, just a big binder full of goals and dreams, and lots of good stuff to keep me inspired.
My sister has encouraged me to create a “how-to” with my Life Map, and I guess it’s on one of my endless to-do lists, but until I do, I can wholeheartedly recommend Goddess Leonie’s wonderful work. I joined her circle this year and it’s been a wonderful journey of its own.
Blessings to you on your own Spiral Path!
